Elena Borrelli is a certified physician assistant (PA). She has worked in healthcare for 20 years, in diverse clinical settings, including surgery, trauma, emergency medicine, primary care, women’s health, and quality management. She is the owner of Online Urgent Care PLLC, where she currently provides virtual video visits to patients of all ages. Over the years, Borrelli has maintained various leadership roles. In addition, Borrelli has authored several publications and lectured on various healthcare-related topics.
She is a consultant for board certification prep-courses for both USMLE and PANCE/PANRE. Borrelli is also pending completion of a Doctorate of Medical Science Degree, with a focus on education.
Borrelli has authored and lectured several courses related to topics that include, but are not limited to, the opioid crisis, elderly abuse, and neglect, behavioral health, diabetes, sepsis early detection, cardiology, wound care, pain management, and surgery. She authored a children’s health book series called Piccolo Medico, which is published in English, Italian and Spanish. She has worked as a subject matter expert and medical consult for various projects.
Based on her clinical and personal experiences, her focus over the past few years has shifted toward the importance of patient advocacy and quality healthcare improvement. In addition to being a clinically practicing healthcare provider, Borrelli is also a Board Certified Patient Advocate. She is the co-founder of Pathway Patient Advocates LLC, a private patient advocacy company.
